Our church partners are an essential part of The Mission of Yahweh. Your prayers, generosity, and hands-on service help meet the physical, emotional, and spiritual needs of the women and children we serve.

Ways Your Church Can Get Involved

House of Hope — Life Group & Personal Shopper Support

Life Groups — Build relationships, encourage, and fellowship with the women and children.
Personal Shoppers — Assist women and children with selecting clothing and personal items that meet their needs.

Resale Shop — Donation & Organization Support

Receive, sort, organize, and prepare donations.
Assist with keeping the Resale Shop organized and welcoming.
Support donation processing and other resale shop needs.

Administrative & Front Desk Support

Answer phones and assist with directing calls.
Provide front desk coverage and general administrative support.
Assist Programs with filing, organizing, and other office needs.

Children’s Programs

Sunday Children’s Chapel — Help serve and engage our children during Sunday programming.
House of Joy Daytime Support — Assist with activities, supervision, and daily needs.
After-School Program — Support children with activities, enrichment, homework, and engagement.

Kitchen & Meal Support

Accept and organize food donations.
Help prepare and/or serve lunch or dinner Monday–Friday.
Host a Sunday Dinner on the 1st, 2nd, or 4th Sunday of the month.
Assist with kitchen cleanup and meal-related needs.

Male Volunteer Opportunities

We have a special need for male volunteers who can assist with daily maintenance needs, including general repairs, upkeep, moving, setup, and other projects that help keep our campus safe, functional, and welcoming.

SISTER HELEN GAY — FOUNDER, THE MISSION OF YAHWEH

Sister Helen Gay lived in a poverty-stricken neighborhood where broken families, hunger, and homelessness were an everyday reality. In the 1960s, God placed a vision on her heart to feed the hungry and provide shelter for women and children in need. In faithful obedience to His calling, she opened her living room to those with nowhere else to turn, laying the foundation for what would become The Mission of Yahweh.

Her life remains a powerful testimony of faith in action. Through her unwavering compassion, countless women, children, and families found hope, healing, and a fresh start. Her extraordinary legacy of love, service, and steadfast faith continues to inspire everyone touched by The Mission of Yahweh.

Today, more than six decades later, The Mission of Yahweh continues Sister Helen's vision by providing safe shelter, life-changing programs, and Christ-centered care that empower women and children to rebuild their lives with dignity, purpose, and hope.
