The mission of Yahweh

Frequently Asked Questions

Volunteers who plan to serve in our Children’s Program and work directly with the children will need to complete a background check. We will guide you through that process after you apply.

After you submit your volunteer application, we will contact you to schedule a campus tour and orientation. Once completed, you will receive access to the Mission of Yahweh Volunteer Portal where you can choose a shift that fits your schedule and get started serving.

We love when families serve together! Children may volunteer with a parent or guardian in select service areas, and the adult must remain with them at all times.

That’s wonderful! Student volunteers are welcome. A parent or guardian must accompany you, and a parental release form must be signed before serving.

Please contact our Volgistics System Administrator, TaVona Jefferson, at tavona.jefferson@missionofyahweh.org and we will be happy to assist you.

Yes. We ask each person in the group to complete a volunteer application so we can prepare for your visit and place everyone safely and appropriately.

Please park in the lot located across the street from the Mission of Yahweh. When you arrive on campus, check in at the front desk. Our staff will help you sign in and direct you to your service area.

We ask volunteers to dress comfortably and modestly so you can serve safely around our women and children.

Please wear:
• Closed toe shoes
• Comfortable clothing you can move in
• Shirts with sleeves

Please avoid:
• Short shorts or revealing clothing
• Clothing with inappropriate wording or images
• Open toe shoes, especially in kitchen areas

We will let you know if your service area has additional safety guidelines.

There are many meaningful ways to serve. Visit the Volunteer Opportunities Directory to explore the different roles available and see what each opportunity involves.

Absolutely! The Volunteer Opportunities Directory provides a general overview of each volunteer role. Because our needs and schedules change, specific duties or available shifts may not always be listed. You are still encouraged to apply, and we can contact you when opportunities become available. You are also welcome to check back periodically for updates.

We would love to partner with you! Donation drives are a great way to support the women and children at the Mission of Yahweh. Please reach out before you begin so we can share our most current needs and help make your drive successful.

Or start your own fundraiser HERE

Absolutely! There is a section in the volunteer application where you can share your skills, interests, or propose a project or initiative. We look forward to hearing your ideas!
